REPORT: The impact of Technology on corporate fundraising success in Vietnam

THE IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY ON CORPORATE FUNDRAISING SUCCESS IN VIETNAM

Fundraising is one of the most crucial concerns as technology empowers entrepreneurs. This research explores significant corporate funding factors using 1,971 business data crawled by CrunchBase. Controlling for common factors (firm age, size, forecasted revenue, and location), the research uniquely focuses on technology - and its impact on funding. It also examines the moderating influence of firm characteristics. Findings indicate that technical elements’ effects on fundraising success rates are becoming less significant. Nevertheless, the results of factor analysis by logit regression revealed that the entrepreneur’s business age, scale, and revenue expectations had a beneficial influence on the fund-raising process.
